Barrier Free Consultancy Cell (BFCC) - College of Engineering Trivandrum

Barrier Free Consultancy Cell (BFCC) was set up at the Department of Architecture under the grant from the Department of Social Justice Department (SJD), Kerala, to promote barrier-free built environments in Kerala. BFCC is given a mandate by the SJD to assist the site engineers in implementing the accessibility provisions onsite. The project is conceived as having two components – Barrier Free Consultancy Cell, offering consultancy services to various government departments and Experiential Learning Training for Barrier-Free Built Environments – to develop trained manpower. The BFCC has trained over 800 professionals through 36 advanced training programmes and hand-on workshops for officials all over Kerala. ●
