Centre for Engineering Research & Development (CERD)

Centre for Engineering research and Development, College of Engg, Trivandrum Campus.

Centre for Engineering Research and Development (CERD) is established by Government of Kerala to act as a platform for the faculty and students of engineering colleges in the State to pursue their interest in basic and applied research in Engineering and Technology. It is registered under Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act 1955as an autonomous society. The governance of the Centre is vested with the Engineering Research Council chaired by Hon’ble minister for Education, Government of Kerala.
The Centre will be the hub centre and Satellite Centres will be established as and when necessary in engineering colleges to carry out research and development activities to make the colleges centres of excellence. The Centre will provide centralized computational and other common research facilities, access to information sources, conduct training, seminars, symposia and lecture series in emerging areas and research initiation.
